Axera has obtained ISO 26262:2018 functional safety process certification and M76H product certification.

On January 25, 2024, SGS, the internationally recognized testing, inspection and certification body, awarded two certificates to Axera Semiconductor (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Axera"): the ISO 26262:2018 ASIL D functional safety process certification and the Axera Auto M76H chip ASIL B functional safety product certification.

Wu Feijian, Vice President of Software and System R&D of Axera's Automotive Business Unit, Qin Yaoming, Vice President of Products of Axera's Automotive Business Unit, Chu Gongqing, Sales Director of East China of SGS Automotive Services Division, and other representatives from both parties attended the certification award ceremony.

The ISO 26262 standard is a globally recognized automotive functional safety standard that covers the entire product lifecycle, including all aspects such as functional safety management, concept phase development, system phase development, hardware phase development, software phase development, supporting processes, safety analysis, and product release.

Functional Safety Process Certification by SGS

It can provide powerful perception, computing and data processing capabilities for intelligent driving, meet the needs of different full-time integrated parking and driving application scenarios, and possess low-power performance to meet passive cooling requirements. This certification marks that the M76H single chip meets the ASIL B level requirements, meaning that when customers use the M76H to build automotive autonomous driving/advanced driver assistance systems, it not only enables vehicles to obtain excellent perception and processing capabilities, but also ensures safety and reliability. It is of great significance for automotive autonomous driving systems to pass higher-level safety assessments faster, accelerate product safety introduction and mass production.
