Axera Wins the
ISO/SAE 21434:2021 Cybersecurity Process Certification Certificate Awarded by SGS
ISO/SAE 21434 is a globally recognized cybersecurity standard for the automotive industry. It covers all stages of the full life cycle including product concept, development, production, operation and maintenance, and disposal, comprehensively stipulates the cybersecurity requirements for road vehicles and their components and interfaces, and details how to achieve cybersecurity management objectives based on cybersecurity threats. ISO/SAE 21434 is regarded as an industry consensus and an important reference international standard for regulatory and certification bodies in the field of road vehicle cybersecurity at present.
Axera has established a cross-departmental cybersecurity team and built a development process compliant with cybersecurity standards. Under the guidance of the expert team of the SGS Automotive Cybersecurity Center, Axera has formulated nearly 200 cybersecurity process system documents, which have been implemented in the Axera Auto M series projects and other automotive projects.
Wu Feijian, Vice President of Software and System R&D of Axera's Automotive Business Unit, stated: "By passing this ISO/SAE 21434 automotive cybersecurity certification, Axera has become one of the few domestic automotive electronic chip companies in China to obtain this certification. Following the acquisition of the ISO 26262 functional safety process certification earlier this year, the acquisition of this cybersecurity process certification this time fully demonstrates the continuous improvement of Axera's safety system, the continuous enhancement of employees' safety awareness, and the gradual elevation of the company's safety culture. Axera will, as always, attach great importance to product safety, strictly comply with international safety standard systems such as cybersecurity and functional safety, and provide more safe and reliable products for partners."
Wang Haisong, Key Account Director of SGS Automotive Services Division, stated: "Thank you for Axera's consistent support and trust in SGS. The Axera team has demonstrated professional competence and business capabilities during the project, and has a sense of awe and pursuit for cybersecurity. Passing the automotive cybersecurity certification this time once again proves Axera's firm determination and ability to provide customers with safe and reliable products and services."
Both parties indicated that in the future, they will carry out in-depth cooperation in subsequent ISO/SAE 21434 and ISO 26262 product cybersecurity and functional safety development projects, and launch more product certification projects.
