Axera Wins Aptiv Supply Chain Award, Vigorously Advances Innovation and Cooperation in the Automotive Chip Sector

Recently, the "2024 Aptiv Supply Chain Cooperation Summit" was successfully held in Shanghai. As an innovative domestic developer of automotive SoC technologies in China, and also a close supply chain partner of Aptiv, Axera won the Aptiv "Outstanding Localization Award" by virtue of its advanced technological achievements and excellent product mass production performance, and shared this honor with many peers in the industrial chain.

During the summit, Dr. Qiu Xiaoxin, Founder and Chairperson of Axera, was also invited to attend the roundtable forum, where she exchanged ideas with peers on innovative thinking and breakthrough strategies in the automotive SoC field.
Dr. Qiu Xiaoxin stated at the forum that China's semiconductor industry has developed rapidly in recent years. As a young enterprise founded 5 years ago, Axera takes pursuing excellence and empowering customers as its mission, and has established a strategic layout of "Integrated Layout with Dual Wings and Dual-Drive Development". "We have accumulated rich experience in technological innovation and product mass production in the intelligent IoT field, and also forged a robust ecological chain, which provides sufficient conditions for the company to enter the intelligent driving field. This enables Axera's intelligent driving chips to quickly achieve outstanding results and gain customer recognition."
She also believes that local chip companies represented by Axera have two obvious advantages — being closer to customers and more conducive to application implementation. "Empowering customers is our core corporate culture. The closer we are to customers, the faster our response speed, the more positive interactions we have, and the greater the space for mutual growth. On the fertile soil of applications, edge and end-side chip companies like Axera thrive even more, enabling them to develop more cost-effective innovative products that better meet customers' actual needs in chip design."
"As the saying goes, 'Speed is the ultimate weapon in all martial arts'," Dr. Qiu Xiaoxin frankly said. The rapid development of the industry has also spawned a pragmatic style of rapid iteration, cost reduction and efficiency improvement among local enterprises. "This is also the reason why Axera, as a latecomer in the automotive SoC field, has made such rapid progress."
Axera's winning of this supply chain award from Aptiv fully demonstrates the recognition from partners of Axera's innovative technological strength and mass production performance, which also lays a foundation for broader cooperation between the two parties in the future. Going forward, the two parties will join hands to create more surprises in the broader automotive and mobility market.
Founded in May 2019, Axera is committed to building a world-leading perception and edge computing chip platform, providing extensive services for the huge edge and end-side device markets such as smart cities, intelligent driving, edge computing and robotics. In November 2023, Axera officially launched its automotive brand — Axera Auto, which is positioned as a Tier 2 supplier and has currently achieved large-scale mass production and vehicle installation. Axera's two self-developed core technologies — AxeraVision AI-ISP and AxeraNeurons Mixed-Precision NPU — provide a full range of intelligent driving reference solutions for front-view monocular camera systems, park and drive integration domain controllers, CMS, DMS/OMS, etc. At the same time, it has efficient and easy-to-use toolchains and rich software development platforms to meet the diverse needs of customers.
