Axera released the third-generation intelligent vision chip AX650N, empowering smart living.
Today, Axera officially launched its third-generation high-computing-power, high-energy-efficiency SoC chip — AX650N. Following the AX620 and AX630 series, this is another high-performance intelligent vision chip released by Axera.
AX650N is a SoC chip with both high computing power and high energy efficiency. It integrates an octa-core A55 CPU, a high-performance NPU with computing power of 43.2TOPs@INT4 or 10.8TOPs@INT8, an ISP supporting 8K@30fps, and a VPU with H.264 and H.265 encoding and decoding capabilities. In terms of interfaces, AX650N supports 64bit LPDDR4x, multi-channel MIPI input, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, and HDMI 2.0b output, and is capable of 32-channel 1080p@30fps decoding. Its powerful performance enables AX650N to create greater value for users in smart city, smart education, smart manufacturing and other fields.

The high-computing-power NPU of AX650N ensures that it can better empower the edge and end sides, meeting enterprises' current computing power demands for high-performance applications. Notably, its high computing power and ultra-strong encoding and decoding performance also enable AX650N to boost the performance of edge AI acceleration cards and edge AI box products. Interfaces including 64bit LPDDR4x, Gigabit Ethernet, USB, PCIe, and HDMI 2.0b output allow enterprise customers to achieve plug-and-play deployment, reducing the technical application costs.
The combination of high performance and rich interfaces makes AX650N play an important role in the video conference field. It boasts powerful low-light image and video processing capabilities — even in low-brightness environments, it can capture rich light and shadow details, delivering real-time ultra-low-light video image quality equivalent to the industry's post-processed shooting image quality. In addition, AX650N also features first-class intelligent analysis capabilities in dense scenarios, making it naturally suitable for smart city, intelligent transportation and other fields. It supports real-time monitoring and analysis of multi-channel video for urban operation, easily meeting customers' core demands of "all-weather operation" and "clear imaging", and realizing greater application value.
The solid technical performance of AX650N stems from Axera's continuous breakthroughs in original technologies. Axera owns two core self-developed technologies: mixed-precision NPU and Axera Smart Vision® AI-ISP, and is also the first company in the industry to apply both technologies to chip products and achieve commercial implementation. In the future, Axera will continue to strive to build world-leading intelligent vision chips and continuously empower more intelligent scenarios.
