The "2024 IC Fengyunbang" was unveiled, with Axera honored as the winner of the "Annual Outstanding Innovative Automotive Chip Product Breakthrough Award."

According to Jiemian Microelectronics News, on December 16, the "2024 Semiconductor Investment Annual Conference and IC Power List Awards Ceremony", hosted by the Semiconductor Investment Alliance and organized by Aijiwei, was successfully held at the Kerry Hotel in Beijing. At this year's IC Power List, Axera Semiconductor (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Axera") won the "Outstanding Innovative Product Breakthrough Award for Automotive-Grade Chips of the Year".

 

 

The "Outstanding Innovative Product Breakthrough Award for Automotive-Grade Chips of the Year" aims to recognize enterprises that fill gaps, achieve domestic substitution, and are of great significance for the independent and self-reliant development of China's automotive-grade chip industry chain.

Founded in 2019, Axera is committed to building world-leading artificial intelligence (AI) perception and edge computing chips, serving the huge edge and end-device markets such as smart cities, intelligent driving, robots, and AR/VR. Up to now, it has completed the R&D and mass production of more than four generations of intelligent chip products. Axera has always regarded "adhering to innovation and independent R&D" as the core of the company's development. Axera Auto, the automotive business brand of Axera, is positioned as a Tier 2 supplier and insists on being a long-term value provider in the automotive industry. It provides a full range of reference solutions for automotive front-view integrated machines, integrated parking and driving domain controllers, CMS, DMS/OMS, etc. It also has a highly efficient and easy-to-use toolchain, a rich software development platform, and application-oriented reference designs to meet customers' diverse needs.

Based on the two self-developed core technologies, Axera Auto, the automotive brand of Axera, has made remarkable progress in the intelligent driving chip track and has developed multiple series of products so far. The Axera Auto M55H, M76H chips and autonomous driving engineering platform are suitable for L2-L4 autonomous driving solutions, covering more than 90% of the market demand from urban NOA, highway NOA to L2-level advanced driver assistance. Among them, the first automotive-grade chip M55H was put into mass production on vehicles in June this year and has achieved large-scale shipments.

The M76H is an SoC chip equipped with the third-generation Axera Smart Compute mixed-precision NPU, which can realize a single-chip full-time integrated parking and driving domain control solution. In terms of intelligent driving functions, it supports highway NOA, which can replace the existing multi-chip solutions on the market and support customers in rapid verification and development. Relevant test data show that the automotive-grade chip M76H efficiently supports BEV and Transformer algorithm models, realizes passive cooling, and can cover both fuel vehicles and new energy vehicle markets at the same time. At present, the chip has entered the pre-mass production stage and can provide mass production-grade samples. It will officially complete automotive-grade certification and mass production in early next year, evolving from time-sharing intelligent driving to full-time intelligent driving and bringing a brand-new user experience. "From time-sharing to full-time, integrated parking and driving without worries" is the best interpretation of the M76H.

The IC Power List focuses on the most strategically intelligent enterprises in China's integrated circuit industry in the new era.
