Axera Intelligence and Aptiv have reached a cooperation on advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) products, securing a mass-production designation for an overseas vehicle model.

During the 2025 Shanghai International Auto Show, Axera Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (AXERA), a leading domestic enterprise in innovative R&D of AI chips, and Aptiv (APTIV), a world-leading technology company in automotive and mobility solutions, announced a cooperation on advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) products. Building on the existing cooperation in mass production projects, Aptiv will develop a new generation of front-view intelligent camera products and supporting ADAS system solutions based on Axera's independently developed latest-generation ADAS chip M57, which features high performance, low power consumption and high intelligence-to-cost ratio. This solution has successfully secured a mass production designation for the European-bound models of a leading domestic new energy vehicle OEM.

M57 is Axera's all-new generation of ADAS chip, designed for the global market and regulatory requirements, enabling a unified platform solution for both domestic and international markets. It boasts a number of innovative technologies and unique advantages: With full-link self-developed IPs, its system performance can provide sufficient perception, computing and data processing capabilities for intelligent driving to meet the needs of different scenarios; it integrates an MCU to realize a single-chip complete solution; it complies with the functional safety standard ISO26262 ASIL-B and the information security standard ISO/SAE 21434, and its ultra-low power consumption design supports adaptation to various vehicle models.

Going forward, Axera and Aptiv will further deepen their cooperation to jointly explore new technologies, new products and new applications in the field of ADAS.
