Axera's M57 launched with immediate application, partnering with STRADVISION to create a global ADAS solution.

Release time:2025-04-26

【Shanghai, China】On April 24, 2025, Axera Semiconductor Co., Ltd. ("Axera") and STRADVISION, a leading global AI visual perception technology company, officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Leveraging their respective core technological strengths, the two parties will jointly develop advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) solutions for the global automotive market.

Li Hao, General Manager of the Automotive Business Unit at Axera (Front Row, Left), and Liu Chong, Sales Director of China Region at STRADVISION (Front Row, Right), signed the agreement on site. Dr. Qiu Xiaoxin, Founder and Chairperson of Axera (Back Row, Left), and Dr. Junhwan Kim, Founder and CEO of STRADVISION (Back Row, Right), witnessed the signing ceremony.

In accordance with the agreement, STRADVISION will take the lead in conducting development based on Axera's M57 series chips and adapt its highly market-competitive visual perception solution "SVNet" to this platform, with Axera providing comprehensive technical support and a complete toolchain backing. As the cooperation deepens in the future, the two parties will also carry out adaptive development based on more of Axera's automotive chip platforms, aiming to provide diversified ADAS solutions for global automakers.

Axera's M57 series chips, which made their global debut at the Shanghai International Auto Show, are a well-rounded all-rounder integrating high performance, high integration, high flexibility, high security and efficient development. They are the new generation of automotive AI chips launched by Axera for the global market.

The M57 adopts Axera's self-developed core IPs including NPU, ISP and CV Accelerator. The NPU delivers 10TOPS of computing power with rich operator support, providing high-performance backing for BEV development; the self-developed ISP is specially optimized for automotive scenarios and can deliver ultra-high image quality; the overall power consumption is less than 3.5W, leading among products in the same class; the independent R&D of full-link IPs achieves ultra-low latency.

To adapt to the demands of the global market, the M57 strictly complies with global regulatory standards in the fields of functional safety and information security. It provides in-depth security assurance from the aspects of development process management, chip products, system software and toolchains, and meets the requirements of data security and privacy protection.

SVNet is a deep learning-based perception software independently developed by STRADVISION that leverages camera sensors to achieve high-precision perception. This perception software has been mature and in mass production for many years and has been installed on numerous vehicle models worldwide.

Based on Axera's leading chip platform, STRADVISION's perception suite will achieve superior performance, providing strong support for the performance improvement of the entire ADAS.

Under this strategic cooperation, the two parties will also achieve strategic synergy in market expansion, jointly targeting the vast China's ADAS market and global intelligent vehicle market, providing ADAS solutions adapted to target markets for global automakers, and realizing win-win results for all parties.

Axera is positioned as a Tier 2 supplier in the automotive chip field. Upholding the philosophy of "open cooperation and mutual benefit", Axera will fully support STRADVISION's subsequent development and help it expand the performance boundary of algorithms; STRADVISION will also cooperate closely with Axera to tap the hardware potential of the chips. Through hardware-software synergy, the two parties will provide higher-quality ADAS for global customers and deliver safe and intelligent travel experiences for consumers worldwide.

Dr. Junsung Kim, CEO of STRADVISION, said: "Our cooperation with Axera enhances our ability to provide adaptable and high-performance perception solutions for global customers. By combining our expertise in visual AI with Axera's powerful SoC platform, we are creating competitive and flexible solutions for the next generation of mobility."

Dr. Qiu Xiaoxin, Founder & Chairperson of Axera, said: "It is a great honor to reach a strategic cooperation with STRADVISION. STRADVISION has a profound accumulation in the field of deep learning perception algorithms and rich experience in mass production for global vehicle models. Axera's M57 series chips and subsequent products feature leading performance and are designed for the global market. We look forward to expanding the global intelligent vehicle market together with STRADVISION and stepping onto a bigger stage in the future."
